Special Interest Groups

Special Interest Groups help members connect on a more personal level and tend to be rewarding and fulfilling. Form a group comprised of members sharing a common interest (Book Club, Mommy ‘n Me, Sister Mixers) with the intention of having this group create a bond with one another as well as the alumnae group. Interest Groups should have a chairman to be a liaison between the SIG and the alumnae chapter or association.

Book Club
Monthly on a Monday Evening at 5:30 p.m. This group of 11 meet up at the beach, at restaurants, or at a member's homes.

Hump day Happy Hour
Second Wednesday of the month at 4:30 p.m. Usually 10 to 16 SOC DG members meet up at restaurant venues throughout South Orange County to take advantage of happy hour menus and drinks.

Let's Hike!
Third Saturday of the month at 8 a.m. Always an easy hike of about 2 miles. They meet up at locations throughout South Orange County.

Pickleball Play
Every Week on Tuesday and/or Thursday at 5 or 5:30 p.m. We have 17 Members with varied skill levels. They play in Mission Viejo and Laguna Niguel. To join, you must have had a lesson and know how to play and score.  SIG Chairs: Denise Hansen and Trina Robertson.
